Hello & Welcome

I am Andrea Klincokova, a private adviser and mentor.

This is a little more of me, for anyone who wants to know the person before we speak.

People come to me at the turning points of their lives and work, when something can no longer stay as it is.

I help them find the real issue underneath, and their way through it, without losing themselves along the way.

The short of a long road

I came to this the long way round. I began near the bottom of the corporate world and rose to senior and board-level responsibility.

I worked inside a number of global companies as an employee and later as their outside adviser, and built and ran my own business along the way.

I've got near the top of all of it, with the money and the reputation and the life that was meant to be the point, I've made it.

And then I began asking the question I now hear, in a hundred forms, from the people who come to me: is this really it?

That question was not an ending. It was the turning.

Everything I have done since grew out of it: looking beneath the roles and the results to the person carrying them, myself included.

How I work, and what I believe

I work at the root, not the surface.

In the room I listen for what you are saying, and for what has grown so familiar you no longer hear yourself say it.

I am direct, and warm, and I do not look away from the hard part, and the choice is always yours.

Underneath all of it is one belief I have held my whole life: that we should never have to choose between being happy and being successful.

More than anything, I want the people I work with to be happy. Not on the surface, but deep down in their heart and soul, because when you are happy in that way, everything else comes more easily.

And that kind of happiness begins in the least glamorous place - knowing yourself honestly, and accepting yourself as you are.

The work, in the end, is coming home to yourself, so that the life that looks right from the outside finally feels like yours on the inside too.

What I have come through myself

I know this ground because I have walked it myself, my own turning points, my own hard conversations, my own long way back.

That is why I recognise in others, quickly, what once took me years to see in myself.

Lived as much as studied.

If you recognise something of yourself here, you do not need to have it all worked out before you reach out.

You only need to know that something matters, and that you would like a private place to talk about it honestly.

PS: That something that matters is YOU.

Just saying ...
